Welcome!
Blue Walleye Outpost, formerly known as Lac Achepabanca Outpost Camps is located on the shores of majestic Lac Achepabanca. At the heart the beautiful wild Quebec Borealis Forest, our lodge offers guests the opportunity to experience some of the finest sporting adventures in North America. If you cherish the idea of tagging a trophy black bear or a massive Canadian moose, or if you long for weary arms after a day of landing huge pike and scores of fat blue walleye, consider Blue Walleye Outpost at Lac Achepabanca.
There is no shortage of Canadian outfitting opportunities, yet many fall short of providing the true wilderness experience that our guests relish. If you want a true Canadian adventure, the kind where you can spend a week without seeing another boat or canoe on miles of pristine lakes and rivers, where you enjoy shore lunches on a sandy beach of delicate walleye filets and ice-cold beverages, and where you can to relax with friends and family by an evening fire, gazing into the deep, imposing Quebec sky - then we’ve a cottage for you!
The owners of the Blue Walleye Outpost, the six Shea brothers, are anxious to welcome you to their slice of the Canadian Bush. We pledge courtesy, helpfulness, encouragement, and all we can do to ensure your stay will yield memories for a lifetime.
Our Location:
Blue Walleye Outpost at Lac Achepabanca is a hunting and fishing paradise located in Southern Quebec, some 65 miles N.E. of Senneterre, Quebec.

Our clients fish and hunt on several massive lakes, all accessible by boat from the main camp. We are the only outfitter in the area, guaranteeing that our guests fish “calm waters.” In fact, your spoon, jig, rapala or spinner might be the only lure to break the water of a bay all year; the bear and moose that live in these woods have likely never seen, heard or smelled anything resembling civilization.
The 65 mile gravel “bush road” to Blue Walleye Outpost takes about two hours. We will meet you at the shore of Lac Achepabanca for a 1 mile boat ride to our camp. Relax, stop often during the drive to stretch and take pictures of the stunning scenery, and know that your journey will lead you to a hunting and fishing Shangri-La. Because our facilities are so deep in the woods, human pressure is near nonexistent, and the bears have been fattening up for years!
